Harambee’s African American Festival returns to Kingston Point Beach on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12pm to 7pm — and this year’s theme, “400 Years & Beyond,” invites us all to celebrate the depth, resilience, and joy of African American culture, right here by the water.

Join us for a vibrant day of community and summer celebration featuring live music performances, a Children’s Village full of activities for the little ones, a dedicated Elder’s Area to honor and gather with our elders, great food, and amazing vendors set up along the beach. Whether you come for the music, the food, the vendors, or simply to be in community, there’s something for every generation.

Together we rise — bring your family, bring your friends, and meet us at the beach for a day you won’t want to miss.

Volunteers are needed for setting up and breaking down the stage, parking attendants, and helping vendors find their assigned spaces. There is a volunteer planning meeting August 6th at 5:30pm at 157 Pine Street. Interested volunteers are welcome to attend, or contact lavonneknox@gmail.com for more info.
