Opening on Town of New Paltz Environmental Conservation Board

by | Feb 16, 2010

There is an opening on the Town of New Paltz Environmental Conservation Board. The volunteer serves by appointment, and must be a Town resident. No special qualifications are needed. Meetings are at 7:00 P. M. on the first Wednesday of every month. The EnCB is obligated by law to offer comments on environmental issues pertinent to developments in certain environmental significant areas. The Board also routinely comments on other developments. Other activities of the Board vary, depending on individual initiative and current environmental issues. In the past, members have been involved in drafting a Wetlands and Watercourses Protection Law and a local stormwater law.
