The Midtown Women’s Artists Group

by | Dec 4, 2009

The Midtown Women’s Artists Group is a group run by the HIV Outreach Center that uses art and sharing to help women who have experienced trauma, mental health issues, and substance abuse to heal, grow and develop self esteem. The women of this group have already expressed an interest in showing their work during Kingston’s first Saturdays art events. This is such a great indicator of the pride and confidence these women have developed in just a few weeks after expressing themselves through their art projects. The group meets once a week and recieves no funding for supplies.
