New Paltz Regional Chamber of Seeks Volunteers For Clean Sweep
The New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce seeks volunteer groups to help with the 14th Annual New Paltz Clean Sweep, to be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Clean Sweep is a great way to help make your community sparkle by giving it a fresh spring-cleaning. The event kicks off with a continental breakfast for all volunteers at 8:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, after which volunteers don gloves and “Clean Sweep” T-shirts, grab trash bags, and join other area business owners, residents, local politicians, community organizations, schools and fraternities to tidy up the parks, sidewalks and streets of New Paltz. High Falls Green Up Day.

Town of Rochester Annual Earth Day Roadside Cleanup
Sat., Apr. 17 & 24. TOWN OF ROCHESTER ANNUAL EARTH DAY ROADSIDE CLEANUP Once again in celebration of Earth Day the Rochester Youth Commission and Environmental Conservation Committee (ECC) ask Rochester residents to get together with friends and neighbors to “Adopt a Road.” The town will provide bright orange trash bags and pick them up at the end of the day. To get the bags, call the Youth Commission at 626-2115 and leave your name, road or area, date of the cleanup, and start and finish time. On Saturday, April 24th, there will be free pizza, soda and dessert for clean up participants at the Rochester Community Center, behind the old train station.

The Hudson Valley 40th Anniversary Earth Day Celebration. Come celebrate, learn about and do for the planet. A family-friendly, two-day event that celebrates Earth Day with hands-on, fun activities for young and old alike, and provides educational presentations and workshops on the environment. Admission: $5/adults; children under 12 and seniors over 65 free.
