Susan Loxley-Friedle, a CSA farm member for 15 years, is an enthusiastic pickler & has earned many ribbons at the Rosendale Pickle Festival for her chutneys & pickles.

Barbara Nelson and her husband keep bees locally and she has been canning the bounty of their huge garden for years, winning prizes for her products at the Ulster County Fair

Janine Brutvan, long-time member of Phillies Bridge Farm, has been canning and freezing the harvest for years, putting away enough vegetables and fruits to feed her family of 4 throughout the whole winter

For those of you interested in helping with our Hunger in the Hudson Valley: How Can We Help? Initiative, these are critical skills to help provide food to those in need during winter months.
