The Safe Routes to Schools and Parks committee of the Healthy Kingston for Kids project is looking for at least 5 youth to participate in our GIS Community Mapping Team. The Team will meet every Friday afternoon throughout the summer.

The Healthy Kingston for Kids Safe Routes to Schoolsand Parks Committeeis looking for at least five youth in grades 8-12 to participate in the mapping of Kingston’s streets.
Members accepted on a rolling basis.
You’ll Learn
– GPS Handheld Unit Use
– Map design
– Analysis of geography and the community
– ESRI’s GIS software, Arcview 9.3
– To work in partnership with professionals and adults in your community
