Make a Difference That Lasts
The Power of Showing Up
One caring adult can change a child’s entire future. Research shows that quality mentoring relationships lead to:
- Improved academic performance
- Stronger social skills
- Better long-term economic opportunities
- Enhanced self-confidence
- Deeper community connections
Yet one in three young people grows up without this critical support. You can help change that.
Who Can Mentor?
Our mentors come from all walks of life, bringing diverse experiences and perspectives to our youth. The most important qualities are:
- A commitment to showing up consistently
- A willingness to listen without judgment
- An interest in helping young people discover their potential
Basic Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Ability to commit 4 hours monthly for at least one year
- Completion of our comprehensive screening process
We especially welcome mentors from communities currently underrepresented in our program, including men, BIPOC individuals, and LGBTQ+ adults. This diversity helps ensure every child can see themselves reflected in our mentor community.
