Lisa Libraries seeks volunteers to help sort, catalog, pack and ship books for needy children

by | Aug 23, 2011

The Lisa Libraries donates new books to organizations working with underprivileged children across the country.

We are seeking volunteer assistance to help us grow and put thousands of books into the hands of needy children. Work involves sorting and cataloging books as we receive them, and then as we re-pack them to donate and ship to the receiving organization.

Skills needed are basic data entry skills, and attention to detail.

Training is offered by our patient staff, always available to help.

2-3 volunteers needed for each time slot. We request at least a 2 hour time commitment. Volunteer hours are needed for Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 am to 4 pm. Age 16 and up.

While our immediate need is for volunteers at our office in Kingston to help with the book organization, we also have opportunities for people to help us from their homes or from another remote location. Please contact us for further information at 845-334-5559 / lisalibraries@gmail.com

Thank you so much! Last year we donated 25,000 new books to organizations serving underprivileged children. We depend on the kindness of volunteers to help us continue donating children’s books where they are most needed.

Best,
Elisa Geliebter
