Got Gardening Questions? Horticulture Hotline & Diagnostic Lab Reopens for 2011 Growing Season

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s (CCEUC) Master Gardeners will help anxious gardeners prepare for the 2011 growing season by re-opening their Horticulture Hotline on Wednesday, March 2 for the season. Experts at the Master Gardener office located at 10 Westbrook Lane in Kingston will be available to answer home horticulture questions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00noon through October. The phone number is 845-340-DIRT (3478).

The Horticulture Hotline offers free, unbiased, research-based information and advice to more than 1,000 home gardeners annually. The Master Gardener hotline provides the public with free gardening advice.

Other services offered are pH soil testing and Insect/Disease Identification. The cost is $5 for plant and insect identification and $3 for soil testing.
