I know it seems a bit early to think about the holidays, but for all of us planning for the dinners, parties, gifts, and celebrations with family and friends, time is close at hand. And the planning stage is what we are in now.
The staff at the Family Domestic Violence Services looks forward every year to celebrating with those families who have been our guests at the shelter each year. For many of them, this year will be extra special because they have left abusive homes. They are celebrating not only the holidays, but also the realization that they are providing peaceful and loving homes for themselves and their children.
Please join us in celebrating the courage of these families to make major changes in their lives.
