Join us at the Highland Library for American Red Cross Trainings to help your family and community be as prepared as possible for potential disasters and other emergencies.
Red Cross Shelter Fundamentals Training

Michael Raphael, the American Red Cross Disaster Manager for Ulster County and a member of Woodstock’s Emergency Rescue Squad will lead a 3 hour course is designed to give participants an overview of the American Red Cross policies and procedures for opening, setting up, running & closing a Red Cross shelter during a disaster. You will receive the necessary training to become part of a team of caring volunteers. This is a wonderful way to give back to our community. You can help provide a safe and secure environment for affected individuals during natural disasters, which have become more and more frequent as the climate continues to change. The training is free and open to the public.
