My name is Isabella Kemp and I am a program coordinator with FeedHV, a program administered by Hudson Valley Agribusiness Development Corporation. We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help collect food at several county fairs in the region.
Starting this year, fair managers across Ulster, Dutchess and Columbia counties have joined forces to organize this volunteer-led food collection.
The first opportunity is at the Ulster County Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 9th. We are looking for folks to help out from 6:30 – 9 pm when we would all meet and collect food from vendors.
In addition, we are seeking volunteer support at both the Dutchess County and Columbia County Fairs — on Sunday, August 30th and Monday, September 7th, respectively. If you sign up as a volunteer, you will receive a free day pass to the fair.
Please let me know by Wednesday, August 5th if you are available to work with us on any of the fair dates — the Ulster County Fair is coming up quick!
