Become a guiding light for grieving children and their families
“When my mom died, it was sudden. And I felt kind of like the world was kind of ending. […] A couple months ago, my dad found this group. When I came here, I saw all these people that were basically like me. I felt like maybe everything would be alright.”
-Marta, Age 9
Grieving the death of someone important can be overwhelming, confusing and isolating. This is especially true for children, who may lack the language and ability to ask for help. With Roula’s Kids, children navigating this distress can find a circle of peers and facilitators who can uplift and support them with real, lived understanding and healthy processing through art and play. Their caregivers can find guidance and support with adult peer groups from which they can draw encouragement, compassion, and practical advice.
Because grieving is a family affair. Won’t you join us in our mission?
We are especially looking for help with:
- Social media and content creation
- Marketing and community outreach
- Administrative support
- Fundraising initiatives
- Creative projects
- Childcare
