Miriam’s Well will be hosting their first annual Books & Arts Fair on Sunday August 16th, with new & used books for sale. We are looking for donations of any used or new books from the community. All genres accepted. Please notify us at rita@miriamswell.org or 845.246.5805 if you have any books to donate. We will arrange a date, place and time to pick the books up, or you can drop them off at Miriam’s Well in Saugerties at your convenience.
We need many volunteers for this event, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Joan Monk at ftmaven@bestweb.net.
Some of the duties we will need volunteers for:
– Signage (in advance)
– Decorations
– Parking
– Load-out
– Set-up
– Clean-up
– Music (sound system, recorded music)
– Peacekeeping/Traffic Control
– Follow-up
For a typical volunteer, 20 hours of volunteer work will equal access to a free workshop (exclusive of food & lodging). If a volunteer works fewer than 20 hours, we will pro-rate the cost of the workshop; for instance, if the volunteer has given only 10 hours, they would get a 50% reduction of the full workshop fee.
