We seek committed, passionate volunteers to educate the public, lead support groups, provide social engagement to those living with early-stage Alzheimer’s, participate on Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day committees, support advocacy efforts and more. Angel Food East, Inc
Angel Food East, Inc. has expanded its mission to include those living with HIV+/ AIDS as well as those with chronic illnesses. We are working with the Office for the Aging, the Dept. of Social Services, discharge planners at local hospitals and Hudson Valley Community Services, Inc. to support our neighbors in need who may not be eligible for other nutrition programs in our area. We are in need of volunteer cooks, drivers, bag packers, general helpers, Mondays and Thursdays 7:30am-1:30pm to prepare and deliver hot meals to our clients. Volunteers are vital to the day-to-day work of attending to our residents and their families and visitors. We welcome all volunteers and provide training in your areas of interest. Some people prefer working directly with the residents as caregivers while others prefer to help with maintenance of the Circle Home and grounds. It’s your choice; you’re welcome to choose how and when you’d like to be involved.
Community Healthcorps Mid-Hudson Valley
The Institute for Family Health’s Community HealthCorps is a national AmeriCorps program that promotes health care for the underserved while training future healthcare workers. COMPEER Program of MHA in Ulster County

Compeer is an internationally recognized program that trains and supports volunteers to become supportive friends and mentors to individuals who receive mental health services. The Compeer program meets the diverse needs of individuals receiving mental health supports at MHA in Ulster County, through meaningful friendship and mentorship.
Volunteer Expectations:
Engage in meaningful connections with your match each week through text, phone, email, or other forms of communication.
Spend 4 hours each month enjoying face-to-face activities together, creating positive experiences.
(Each month, the Compeer program hosts a fun, fully-sponsored activity to support volunteers in meeting this goal.)

Health Care is a Human Right Clinic
To better accommodate Kingston residents, the Kingston Clinic has relocated to The Lace Mill, 165 Cornell Street, Kingston 12401. Click here for the map flyer. The Kingston clinic is offered the second Thursday of every month from 4-7 p.m. at The Lace Mill. Practitioners volunteer their time and talents, offering their services free-of-charge to help you back to wellness. Modalities include aromatherapy, hypnosis, massage, cranialsacro therapy, homeopathy, Matrix Energetics, Reiiki and sound energy healing. Wellness services are open to all and benefit people across a wide spectrum of ages, income levels, genders and healthiness. On-street parking is available; do no park in The Lace Mill resident lot. Hudson Valley Hospice
The number of families using Hospice services for end-of-life care continues to increase. With this growth comes the opportunity for more volunteers to support the work of our Hospice team. Patient care volunteers are needed to provide support and companionship to patients and their families, assist with transportation or run errands for patients. We are also seeking veteran volunteers for our Veteran-to-Veteran Program. Other Hospice volunteer opportunities include community outreach and fundraising help for special events, administrative volunteers for office support, and volunteer couriers to make deliveries. WMCHealth – Kingston
Whether you’re looking for experience in the healthcare field, completion of a volunteer requirement, or just a chance to help out your community, WMCHealth is the place for you. There is something for everyone in our volunteer program with opportunities in various areas.
General/Year-Round Opportunities
General volunteers are those interested in volunteering at WMCHealth who are not involved in an internship program. In other words, general volunteers are mostly available and interested in volunteering year-round or seasonal. We welcome Mature adults, Retired, stay-at-home moms and dads who are community service-minded, have a little extra time to serve the community, and could typically do one four-hour shift a week.
Student Opportunities
In addition to volunteers who serve year-round, WMCHealth has a unique volunteer program for high school and college students to earn practical experience toward their future goals. Our student volunteers gain real-world, hands-on experience in the healthcare field. Whether they are looking to satisfy a volunteer requirement, support their career goals, or make a difference in the community, our volunteers glean benefits and skills that can carry them long into the future.
