Consider Volunteering Thanksgiving Week at Queens Galley
We have begun to receive calls about our annual celebration for Thanksgiving. We encourage new volunteers to consider coming out to give a hand either the two days before the holiday or the day after. There are many places that offer a traditional Thanksging meal on Thanksgiving and it is one of our slower days of the year (we will only serve about 300 meals that day). Our neighbors in the community have many choices and even families that don’t like each other get together on Thanksgiving! However, the day after Thanksgiving we have a greater number of people to serve and there is quite simply no where else for anyone to go for dinner on the Friday after the holiday. We are it.
With that being said, if you enjoy peeling, chopping and food prepping please consider helping on Tuesday or Wednesday if you enjoy serving please consider joining us on Friday. If you truly want to share in a Thanksgiving celebration then please join us Thanksgiving day to share the bounty of the Hudson Valley in this our favorite season!

Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot
This year we will need many extra volunteers (15+). We will need volunteers to put together packets, which must be matched up with the correct runner. And for the day of the run, we need volunteers for set up and take down, help with the chips, help with morning sign-up. There is also a children’s run which needs a few people to oversee. Any one interested in helping out? Please let me know ASAP as there is a meeting on Tuesday evening and I would like to have some numbers. If we are to use the chips at other events then this is the perfect opportunity to become familiar with how they are used. Thank you for your help. Call (845) 255-8801 for more information.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the New Paltz Turkey Trot! All volunteers will receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt and refreshments. We need volunteers during the months leading up to Thanksgiving as well as at the run/walk on Thanksgiving Day. If you are interested, please email turkeytrot@gmail.com.
