
Tree Planting along the Wallkill River
Volunteers Needed!
Conuco Farm, New Paltz, NY
Sunday, May 18th
9 am-1 pm and 1-5 pm
Join us in helping to restore a crucial stream buffer along the Wallkill River at Conuco Farm in New Paltz.
Volunteers are needed to help plant 390 native trees and shrubs in an effort to reduce flooding and erosion while protecting the water quality of the Wallkill River.
Volunteers can sign up for 1 or both of the time slots below:
Morning: 9 am-1 pm (10-20 volunteers needed)
Afternoon: 1 pm-5 pm (10-20 volunteers needed)
No digging involved, as the holes for the trees will have been pre-dug. Complimentary snacks and water will be provided.
