The League of Women Voter’s of the Mid-Hudson is looking for volunteers interested in joining the “Observer Corps.” The League is open to men and women.
Please attend a meeting to find out about the League and the Observer Corps.
Tuesday, January 27 at 7 pm at Muddy Cup 516 Broadway in Kingston.
Members of the Observer Corps attend government meetings and then write up a short summary, which is published in our monthly newsletter. Just having an Observer member at gov’t meetings keeps the elected reps on their toes and can make a difference. The meeting on the 27th is especially for folks interested in attending City of Kingston gov’t meetings, however, there is also a need for attendance at County meetings, especially since the County is transitioning to its new government structure.
This is a commitment of one meeting a month.
