Volunteer positions available with Jewish Family Services:
Driver, transporter, to take clients to and from medical appointments, shopping, laundry and other local request.
Telephone support:
Calling a house bound clients for a phone visit.
Home visits:
Visit a client in there home.
Moving:
Assisting a client to move to a new residence
Yard work:
Raking leaves, light work in a client’s yard. no heavy lifting or use of high powered machines.
Time commitment, skills required are as needed per individual client and at the discretion of the volunteer.
Training is offered as required or needed. A prospective volunteer will need to bring their drivers license, car registration, auto insurance card and a picture ID,( drivers license is acceptable ) to their scheduled interview. There will be a short intake form that you will need to fill out before your interview.
