Woodstock Volunteers Day Committee (WHAIV) – We need help constructing a float for the Woodstock Memorial Day Parade down Route 212 (maybe in Saugerties as well), on May 31. We will be using 5 sheets of plywood, 12 4×4’s, and few other simple parts. It will be painted two colors & banners & balloons will be hung on its sides. The float will serve to remind everyone about the coming 6th Annual Volunteers’ Day Town Picnic & Music Festival on August 21.
We also need people to sit on the float, hold a banner while walking along side the float, & hand out fliers along the parade route. If we have enough help, those handing out fliers can exchange places every few blocks with those on the float.These events will be fun and great community projects to participate in.
