Opening Festivities – Bob Shepard Highland Landing Park

The Opening festivities at the Bob Shepard Highland Landing Park are going to be a blast – with lots of old-fashioned fun. Some of you have already expressed your willingness to help out. Now’s your chance to pick a task and a time.
For those of you who are still trying to fit this into your schedules, just look at the flexibility:
Volunteer sign-up for the Park Opening – June 27th from 1:00 until 6pm
Serving Ice Cream – pick an hour or two from 1 until 6pm
Making popcorn – pick an hour or two from 1 until 6pm
Making announcements on stage – randomly, occasionally, from 1-6pm
Seniors Tent – serving water
Little kid Games:
Bubbles – [will happen all afternoon] pick an hour or two from 1-6pm
Bean Bag Game – [every half hour all afternoon] pick one or two hours from 1-6pm
Bigger kid Games:
Sack Race – [takes place @ 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00] pick a couple hours
3-legged Race – [takes place @ 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30] pick a couple hours
Frozen T-shirt contest – will happen @ 3:30pm only
Water Race – [takes place @ 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00] pick a couple hours
Balloon Pop – [takes place @ 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00] pick a couple hours
Peanut Pick-Up – [takes place1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30] pick a couple hours
Duck Race – [takes place @ 3:30pm only]
We are also looking for volunteer musicians.
And even you can’t schedule volunteer work time, do carve an hour or so into your schedule to come and play.
