great idea!!!looking forward to hearing more
I am glad you are stepping up to help people share their energy where it is needed.
I’m mainly looking for a way that Ulster Literacy, as an existing and already viable organization, might benefit from UlsterCorps.
Great idea to set this Web site up. Hm — I am a Reiki practitioner. My Reiki circle is looking for opportunities to offer this healing modality to the community, for free. Reiki is an effective complement to more traditional healing modalities, with no side effects. I do use it at the UCSPA with the animals there, for example. We are looking to offer it to cancer patients thru local hospitals, also. We are looking into offeing it
I currently live in Greene County so I’d like to be able to bring some of this more locally as well.
weatherization, solar building codes, mass transit, hitchhike/car pool booths
“Awesome Idea, love to help!”

You might contact Rondout Valley Growers
This is a great idea!
Wants to volunteer with communications; I do a lot of e-activist work
I do not see anything being done with kids and teens who are getting involved with drugs
Would like contact for Dutchess County org of similar nature. Suggest you look at state/federal budgetary shortfall to point toward needed access of help
The Friends of Kingston Library needs volunteers. Libraries are very important in poor financial times. Contact: Kingston Cares at Hodge Ctr-Help is needed. Sustainable Hudson Valley People from the neighborhood of Keegan’s Ale should be here. There is a lot of activity happening in midtown Kingston. The League of Women Voters needs memers especially to be in the “Observer Corps” where members attend govt meeetings and observe and write up short summaries.
I recently heasrd a story on NPR re: a community that started a monthly pot luck to speak with neighbors & business owners about the needs of the community.
Suggest contacting Kingston NAACP. Also contact religious organizations. Also contact “Winter Watch”
