The County’s emergency services consist of 51 fire departments, 19 ambulance squads and 19 law enforcement agencies. Most fire departments and ambulance, or EMS (Emergency Medical Service) squads utilize volunteers to staff their organizations. The communities in which we live depend on volunteers.
