Cooling your home in the summer can be just as costly as keeping your home warm in the winter. With summer just around the corner and the temperatures edging higher it won’t be long before the dog days of summer are here. Why not learn how to conserve energy in your home and save money at the same time!
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County will be hosting “Save Energy, Save Dollars†a FREE Weatherization and Energy Savings Workshop designed to help homeowners and renters alike reduce their electric bills resulting in big savings year round. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Kingston Library located at 55 Franklin Street in Kingston.
In addition to useful cooling tips, Extension Educator, Tom Heffernan will help attendees get a jump on winter by providing many low to no cost methods that can be implemented now to help weatherize homes for the winter months too!
Pre-registration is required to attend. All pre-registered attendees ages 18 and up will receive a FREE Energy Saving Starter Kit. The session is free and open to the public.
