The Girl Scout Mission is to build Girls of Courage Confidence and Character who make the world a better place. Our goal is to create the leaders of tomorrow by helping girls experience leadership today. We do this using the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience: Discover, Connect, Take Action.
Volunteer Opportunities vary in time commitment. Do you have a special talent you wish to share with girls in Ulster County? Work with your Girl Scout Heart of the Hudson Field Manager to develop a special workshop or series.
Do you want to support the movement but aren’t interested in leading girls? Join the Community team in your area and loan your business expertise to your local volunteers!

– Gold Award Committee members: Seeking volunteers to mentor older girls during their Gold Award projects. This involves committee meetings a few times a year and one on one mentoring with a girl. The Gold Award is one of the highest achievements older girls can achieve. Girls learn project management skills along with other soft business skill during their projects due to the level of community assistance they need to complete them.
