Volunteers Needed for Walktoberfest
Walktoberfest returns to the Walkway Over the Hudson and Hudson Valley Rail Trail
October 21 & 22, 2023 – 12 PM to 5 PM
Over 150 local Farmers and Makers vendors will set up along the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and the parking lot. There is a small general admission ticket of $5 per person, children under 12 free and Walkway Members for free. 100% of proceeds from this event assists all programs that are held for free at the Walkway – including the children’s Walkway Explorer Program and also assists our ADA Compliant tram to offer free rides to the elderly, disabled and veterans.
Volunteers are needed to assist with parking, answer questions, be present at the entrances and exits to the tasting area, assist with registration, monitor traffic flow on the rail trail and with event setup and breakdown.
Help needed Friday, October 20; Saturday, October 21 & Sunday, October 22, 11:30am – 2:30pm & 2:30pm -6:00 pm
Volunteers will:
- Stay home if ill or with any COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, and/or trouble breathing – but alert of us of change in schedule.
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to your assigned time and location
- Check in with the Walkway Staff
- Stay in assigned role until the end of their shift
In appreciation of your time, every volunteer will receive 2 general admission passes for use either the day before or after your shift.
