The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
We’re looking for volunteers to assist in managing the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s event! While we have several opportunities available, at the moment we’re looking specifically for volunteers who are able to fill administrative roles. We have availability in our Poughkeepsie office which serves Ulster and Dutchess Counties and our Middletown office which serves Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Job description:
Administrative help is needed at our Middletown office at Crystal Run Road in Middletown as well as our Poughkeepsie office at 2 Jefferson Plaza (near the Mid Hudson Bridge) between the hours of 8:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday for a minimum of 3 hours per week.
Skills required:
Polite phone manner
Knowledge of basic computer systems (Excel, Word)
Ability to help on-site during business hours
An interest in working with a great group of staff and volunteers!
