United Way Day of Caring
Join Us on Wednesday, September 14, 2016!
For the Day of Caring, volunteer teams work at an assigned local not-for-profit agency between 9 AM-Noon, assisting with activities such as stocking food pantries, sorting books and toys for holiday baskets, painting, gardening and light landscaping, and small repair projects.
After the team’s task is completed, all volunteers are invited to a community barbecue from Noon to 2 PM at the Town of Ulster Park on the banks of the Hudson, courtesy of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, Home Plate Deli, Pro-Sound Entertainment, and Stewart’s Shops.
The event is a true Ulster County celebration of community spirit.
Volunteer Teams & Sponsors Needed!
Put together a company team, representing your business/organization and rewarding staff with a meaningful day of community service, and team building. All volunteers, teams, and sponsors will be recognized at the picnic.
AND you can help in other ways. Be an event sponsor, by giving a financial or in-kind donation (such as materials for projects, raffle prize donations, or food/supplies for the picnic).
You/your company will be formally recognized at the event and in all publicity materials.
