FRIDAY, JANURARY 30th evening

6:00 Dinner by Ashokan Executive Chef, Jill Freiberg (must pre-pay at http://homeofthehoot.com/)

7:00 Featured screening of the new film “Antarctica 3D: On The Edge,” an up-close look at how the seventh continent is changing, in part due to a warming ocean, followed by a Q & A session with the film’s director, Jon Bowermaster and renowned scientist Dr. Maureen Raymo from Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University.

Post-film old-timey music jam led by Jay Ungar & Molly Mason.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 31ST all day and night!

A full day and night of music, dancing, and good times for the whole family. Activities include birding, hiking, blacksmithing, kid’s fun room, indoor farmers’ market with local food vendors, and hands-on crafts for all ages by Fiber Flame.

11:00 Community Singalong – come one and all for a group sing in the performance hall.

Come for a few hours or the whole weekend. Admission is a $30-50 suggested donation (does not include food or lodging). The Hoot builds community through music and dance & raises scholarship funding for the thousands of children whose lives are transformed by experiencing nature at The Ashokan Center. Be as generous as you can and help change lives thru music and the outdoors!

Accommodations in Ashokan Center’s new buildings range from $50-$400 for the weekend: *PRIVATE ROOMS SELL OUT QUICKLY!* Plenty of beds available in the cozy, new bunk-house.
