The Rondout Valley Growers Association, Ulster County Community Action and UlsterCorps have teamed up to harvest and process locally grown tomatoes into sauce. We are looking for 3-4 volunteer willing to harvest tomatoes at Davenport Farm in Stone Ridge (NOT the farmstand, contact info below for directions) this afternoon, Tuesday September 2nd, from 4-6pm, and 6-8 volunteers willing to spend Wednesday, September 3, 2104 preparing sauce to be frozen for use by area food banks to feed the needy of Ulster County. We will start at 9:00am at Ulster County Community Action at 70 Lindsely Avenue, Kingston NY, 12401.
