Ever wish that neat lamp you absolutely love wasn’t broken? Or wonder whether that sweet little chair that’s too fragile to sit on could ever be fixed? What about repairing that special baby doll or favorite necklace? Don’t even know where to begin?
Enter Repair Café, a free community meeting place that is all about repairing things—together.
At Repair Café Rosendale you will find volunteer “Repair Coaches” with the special skills to help you with mechanical, electrical and electronic items, clothing and upholstery, furniture and housewares — even dolls and stuffed animals and computers!
Our events also feature tool sharpening, photo restoration, and sometimes even body repair (chair massage!).
We can’t guarantee every item will be fixed — but we can guarantee that you will have an interesting time.
Coffee, tea and bakery treats will be for sale on the “café side” to sustain you on your repair journey.
Repair Café Rosendale is made possible with the generous support of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Creative Co-op of Rosendale.
RULES: 2-item limit and you must be able to carry your item. PLUS: Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Rosendale Food Pantry.
Volunteer!
If you know how to fix things or have some expertise you’d like to share, contact us! We are always looking for more Repair Coaches, and also for people to help us set things up, clean up, put up flyers, and all the rest. Email repaircaferosendale@gmail.com or call 845-518-7352.
