People’s Place Food Pantry and Thrift Store, located at 17 St. James St. in Midtown Kingston, is in need of additional volunteers from 8:30-10:30 AM the first Tuesday of each month to help with a large monthly food delivery from the Food Bank.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with the Food Bank Farm Stand at People’s Place every Tuesday morning throughout the growing season, as well as its “Bag Student Hunger” program. The “Bag Student Hunger” program provides additional breakfast, lunch and snack foods for families with school-age children in Ulster County. Volunteers are also needed to help out in the food pantry weekdays from 10am-1pm, especially on Fridays, and the new Community Cafe.
