New Paltz United Methodist Church
1 Grove St
New Paltz, NY, 12561
Our first Repair Cafe of 2020 will be Jan 18th.
Our other 2020 dates will be March 21, May 16 (our 7th anniversary!), July 25, Sept 19 & Nov 21.
We’ll have all of the “core” repair categories you’ve come to rely on as well: mechanical, electrical electronic & digital, clothing & textiles, jewelry, things made of wood.
Felicia Casey, our doll expert, will give your doll TLC.
Our metal welder Vince will be on-site (weather permitting)—NOW with special equipment to weld aluminum.
Don will digitally restore your damaged or faded photograph.
And well-known author Vern Benjamin will give you his well-considered advice on any piece of writing you bring to him.
“Repair Cafe is amazing! I thought my fairly new steam cleaner was a goner. They helped me take it apart, clean it out & put it back together. It works better than ever. No landfill waste & saved me over $300!” —Christina Steen
Bring the family! Our supervised Kids Take-Apart Table awaits kids curious to “see what’s inside”
Note: we do not offer blade sharpening, bicycle repair or gasoline engine repair at our New Paltz Repair Cafes.
Repair Cafe is free, but please remember to bring a food item or two for Family of New Paltz.
A fixed thing is a beautiful thing. Bring your beloved but broken item to be repaired…for FREE… by an expert who is also your neighbor.
If you want to bring something you’re not sure we can repair, please get in touch with us ahead of time. Contact John at jwackman@gmail.com or call 646-302-5835.
Sponsored by New Paltz United Methodist Church, Climate Action Coalition, Town of new Paltz Recycling & Reuse program, and the Mid-Hudson Group of the Sierra Club. Thank you all for your support!
