Mustard Seeds at Elting Library Fair

We are meeting in the Elting Library parking lot at 2:30 for an orientation on September 28 and will select and pack children’s books until 4:30 pm. 1-2 additional volunteers are needed.
Through the gift of books, Mustard Seeds seeks to open new worlds to children, to strengthen literacy skills and to encourage reading in schools, community centers and at home. Since 2003 Mustard Seeds has been gathering new and gently used children’s books and other learning materials to be sent to underserved schools and community centers in the Espanola area of northern New Mexico where good educational resources are lacking. To date over 10,000 books have be distributed.
