[[Garden is just beyond left field of the baseball field at Greenkill and S Clinton Aves. Wear a mask and long sleeves and pants to protect yourself from poison ivy and bring water and your own gloves if you have them (we will also have some to lend).]]
Barmann park is a sweet City of Kingston Park in Midtown that has a free Baseball league, playground, basketball courts, and a number of mulberry trees that give delicious fruit. What you may not know is that it has a community garden with six large raised beds and compost bins. This garden has been concealed by opportunistic trees and vines and needs some socially-distanced weeding and debris removal to bring it back to life. Join the Kingston Land Trust’s “Greening Group” and Live Well Kingston for a morning workday to give some love to this garden that has great potential to help feed our community and contribute to the growing urban agriculture movement in Kingston.
