Friday, December 6, 2019, 4:30pm – 8:30pm
Stockade District, Kingston
This event is free to the public and is the centerpiece of the Uptown holiday season. It is geared towards local families and visitors who want to enjoy an evening full of magic and surprises. Santa rolls into town on the historic fire truck and is greeted by crowds surrounding ice sculptures and our sparkling Christmas tree. Families can tour the Holiday of Lights located on the Senate House grounds, take a horse drawn carriage ride through the streets, watch fire twirlers, jugglers, dancers, carolers, bands, magicians and so much more.
The Snowflake Committee is made up of a handful of volunteers who meet during the year to organize this festival. We are seeking the help of 10-12 volunteers from 4:30pm – 8:30pm on Friday, December 6, 2019.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
1. Set-up and oversee eleven (11) street barricades in Uptown Historic District.
2. Set-up/Tear-down folding chairs at Senate Garage (approx. 100)
2. Distribution informational brochures regarding festival performance locations and event times at the information kiosk.
3. Distribute event maps on the street to event attendees.
Note: All volunteers will be supplied with cap or vest which identifies them as a “volunteer”.
