Everyone is concerned about our housing crisis and you can actually help.
HomeShare Woodstock and HomeShare Kingston are holding Information Sessions for
individuals who have some time to volunteer and skills to meet our needs. We have openings
on our brand new Kingston team for Interviewers and Reference Checkers from the Kingston
community. That program will open early in 2025 but not until we have a solid team assembled
and trained to process applicants! There are also a few spots on the team serving the
Woodstock area (Saugerties to Shandaken!) That team is currently working with ten ongoing
matches involving twenty-three people. That’s the way home sharing works. It is a win-win for
both Provider and Seeker.
These teams are crucial to any home sharing program. They are how successful matches are
made and supported. If you have an interest and some time (perhaps 6 hours per week for
Interviewers, 2 hours as needed for Reference Checkers) come to one of our Informationals to
learn more about the program and our process. We especially welcome individuals with social
work or other counseling experience. ¡Damos la bienvenida a los hispanohablantes a este
