Free Narcan training to be offered in Ulster
Ulster County Legislator John Parete is sponsoring a free community Narcan Training in cooperation with Dr. Raymond Harvey from the Institute for Family Health and Marie Shultis, Director of Awareness Inc., on Wednesday, July 13 at 6pm at the Boiceville Inn.
Narcan (naloxone) is used for the emergency treatment of opioid overdose and has been credited with saving many lives when used by first responders.
Anyone interested in attending this free training can call Awareness, Inc. at 845-417-1484 or email ucawarenessprogram@gmail.com. A Narcan kit will be dispensed to each participant who attends the training.
