Farm to Food Pantry Pumpkin Processing
Wednesday November 9th, 2016
9am-1pm at the Hudson Valley Seed Library Farm,
484 Mettacahonts Rd, Accord, NY 12404
and
1:30-5:30pm at the Rondout Valley High School,
122 Kyserike Road, Accord NY 12404
We will be doing one more pumpkin processing this Wednesday November 9th. We will be working at the Hudson Valley Seed Library Farm in the morning (9am-1pm) cleaning, slicing and scooping out the seeds which will be saved for the Seed Library, and then working at the Rondout Valley High School from 1:30-5:30pm steaming, roasting, mashing and bagging the pumpkin to freeze for winter distribution at local schools, food pantries and feeding programs. We will also be making soup for both the pantries and schools!
