*** POSTPONED TO THURSDAY MARCH 16TH DUE TO BLIZZARD ***
Please join us Tuesday March 14th from 1:30-5pm at the Rondout Valley High School, 122 Kyserike Rd, Accord, NY 12404 in celebrating National Pi Day (3/14) with another Farm to Food Pantry Program Pie Making Day! We will be making pumpkin pies with pumpkin donated last season by Hudson Valley Seed Company, Kitchen Cultivars, Glynwood, Davenport Farms and Row by Row Farms. The pumpkin was roasted, mashed and frozen by volunteers from UlsterCorps’ Glean Team & United Healthcare last fall. The pies will be distributed to local food pantries, soup kitchens & shelters.
Thank you so much to Chris Van Damm & the RVCSD for allowing us use of your wonderful kitchen, to RVGA and Family of Woodstock for your leadership of this beautiful collaboration, and to the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, the New World Foundation, Carve for a Cause and TD Charitable Foundation for your support.
Please note that if there is a 2 hour school delay we will need to wait until 2pm to get started. If you can join us & for directions please RSVP by emailing glean@ulstercorps.org or calling/texting 845-481-0331.
