when: Monday June 15th, 9-11:30am
where: New Paltz, NY (RSVP for exact location & details)
Volunteers welcome for a Farm to Food Pantry Collaborative Bok Choi Field Gleaning Monday June 15th, 9-11:30am in New Paltz. We are asking everyone to arrive right at 9am so we can head back to the field together, and if possible bring your own mask & knife. It is an 8 minute walk back to the field where we will be gleaning, or you can choose to drive your own vehicle (at your own risk) down the (quite rough) dirt farm roads.
Here are the protocols we ask all volunteers to observe:
- Washing hands, wearing personal protective equipment, disinfecting all tools and supplies before, during, and after gleaning.
- Limiting the number of times produce is handled from the farm to its final destination.
- Limiting the number of people involved in the process.
- Creating 6 ft distances between staff and volunteers in fields, coolers, and community partners.
- Staying home if we feel unwell or have had contact with someone who is sick.
If you would like to help out please email glean@ulstercorps.org or call/text 845-481-0331.
Thank you!
