DESCRIPTION:Family of Woodstock Hotline Volunteer Training\nStarts February
  2nd\, 2019\nFamily of Woodstock\, 16 Rock City Rd\, Woodstock\n\nOpen to 
 all 16 and over\n\nAre you interested in helping both your local and wider
  community? Are you that listening ear that friends and loved ones always 
 seem to turn to? Are you interested in using the\nskills you have and buil
 ding on your knowledge of helping? Family’s hotline training is just wha
 t you’re looking for!\n\nTraining covers the core of Family’s phone an
 d texting hotline and walk-in services. Training topics include domestic v
 iolence\, child abuse\, mental health and substance abuse\, adolescent iss
 ues\, suicide\, and homelessness. The training is free of charge and orien
 ted towards personal growth. You will learn active\, compassionate listeni
 ng skills and ways to connect with people in need.\n\nFamily offers an opp
 ortunity to be part of the change you wish to see in the world. Interventi
 on is as simple as answering a phone call or text message at the moment so
 meone reaches out. It is as direct as offering a cup of coffee and a bag o
 f food to someone who is hungry. It takes your skill and the amazing depth
  of resources Family has gathered over its 48-year history.\n\nAll trainin
 gs are held at Family in Woodstock at 16 Rock City Rd\, Woodstock but qual
 ify volunteers to help at any of our three walk-in centers (Ellenville\, N
 ew Paltz & Woodstock). We do ask individuals who take the training to comm
 it to volunteering with one of the three hotlines\, or another Family prog
 ram\, for a regular weekly 4 hour shift for a minimum of 6 months.\n\nFor
