Overview of the ESART Emergency Animal Sheltering course:
http://www.ualbanycphp.org/learning/registration/tab.cfm?course=eas&s=Overview
Participants will take the course by going through the class screens together. The course should take around 2 hours.
Handouts are part of the course and are quite lengthy. To keep our costs down, printed handouts will be given to participants who have partially or fully completed the 4 required UCART courses by class day, May 5.
If you have taken, or are currently taking, at least 1 of the 4 required courses before May 5, please email us as soon as possible at ucart@ulstercorps.org so that you may get a copy of the handouts at the class.
For those planning to take this course, but not planning to take the required training, we will email you links to all handouts for you to print out.
Again, however, ALL UCART volunteers are very welcome to attend this course, and it is recommended to be an essential part of any UCART Shelter Working Group member’s training.
And yes indeed, this course can be taken online at any time. It is a comprehensive tour of how to organize and operate a temporary emergency shelter for animals.
Food and drink are permitted during the class, and a kitchen for making tea and coffee is onsite; please bring your own tea/coffee. Hope to see you on Tuesday, May 5!
Beth, Liz, and Vicki
