Decreasing the consumption of sugar sweetened beverages. Increasing physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle and maintain calorie balance during each stage of life. There will be hands on activities related to the nutrition message, including 10 Tips Nutrition Fact sheets and copies of the recipe for that month.
…
We can also use volunteers to help setting up the Market starting around 8:00 am, or shortly after, and breaking down at 2 pm most Sundays– In June especially and July (but no Market on 7/20) and August as well, since several of our Market Managers will be on vacation, but volunteer help beyond is also appreciated! We are a completely volunteer run organization, so when several ‘regulars’ aren’t available, it’s a tough situation.
Help involves –picking up and delivering to the site (having a van/truck would be great!)and setting up pop-up tents and tables; assisting vendors with set-up as needed; moving some folding tables and possibly some other tasks, like placing road signs, filling water dispensers, etc… Later in the day would be breaking down and moving the same materials back to storage down the street.
Thanks for your consideration.
