Day of Service at Kingston Point Beach

The Kingston Parks and Recreation Department, UlsterCorps and Volunteer New York! are excited to announce a Day of Service at Kingston Point Beach in Kingston, NY on Saturday October 25th, 2014 at 9am. This event will allow the community to install a variety of native plantings to restore, protect and beautify this wonderful park on the banks of the Hudson River. It’s close proximity to the Hudson also brings erosion from both water and wind and other effects from our changing climate.
Volunteers Needed:
2 – Master Gardeners to oversee planting project
1 – Tree Professional to oversee tree location and planting
15 – Volunteers to assist for two hours to plant plants, move and spread mulch, soil.
We will supply water and snacks, rakes and shovels, but if you have your own tools you prefer to use you are welcome to bring them. Work gloves are recommended.
