Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the 6th Annual UlsterCorps Zombie Escape yesterday!! We had a record turnout – almost twice as many runners as ever before, and also a record number of awesome zombie – and non-zombie- volunteers. Thank you all!!!

Runners of all ages are invited to run for their lives in UlsterCorps’ 6th Annual Halloween Zombie Escape, Saturday, October 31, 2015. Enjoy the spectacular fall foliage and beautiful trails at Williams Lake in Rosendale, while dodging zombies and other spooky surprises hiding in the woods, tunnels and caves – a perfect family friendly way to start your Halloween. The event includes options for all levels of competitors: a FREE 1K Fun Run for kids, a 5K timed race and Zombie Escape, and a 1K fitness walk/hike. Top finishers will receive awards in gender and age group categories.

Runners participating in the “The Zombie Escape” will be given a health flag belt (two flags each, like flag football) – avoid the zombies and get through the woods with at least one flag and all your brains intact and you will earn an UlsterCorps Zombie Response Team certification card. Runners can also opt to avoid being attacked by zombies and compete in the timed race without wearing the health flags.

Participants in this fun Halloween themed annual event are encouraged to wear costumes, or represent their favorite local agency or cause. Special awards will be given to Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume. There will also be a Team Spirit award.

The event will also include a bonfire by the lake, refreshments and a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses including a half day of guided rock climbing at Skytop, courtesy of Alpine Endeavors and Mohonk Mountain House.

Thank you so much to everyone who has volunteered for the event! We have an amazing team of helpers and zombies signed up and ready to share the scare.
