Photos from the December 4th gleaning on Facebook!
Original post:
Just when we thought we’d wrapped up our seasonal gleaning project for 2009 (thank you again to everyone who helped out!!), we got a call from a wonderful local grower who still has apples on her trees she’s willing to donate!
Gleaning
Volunteer gleaners needed to pick apples Friday morning, December 4th, 9am-noon. The wonderful farm donating the apples is located Clintondale, 10 minutes south of New Paltz (contact Beth for directions).
Processing
Our good friends at the Woodcrest Community have volunteered to help with processing the apples into apple sauce Monday, December 7th and would welcome 2-3 volunteers to assist.
Transporting
Volunteers needed to help with transporting the bags of fresh apple sauce to local pantries Wednesday December 16th. Meet at Rosendale Rec Center at 10:15am.
If you can help with any or all of the above please email ulstercorps@gmail.com or call 481-0331.
