“Show up hungry!” says Tamara Cooper, Program Director at Family of Woodstock, inviting the public to the 42nd annual Thanksgiving Feast at the Woodstock Community Center, 56 Rock City Rd, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. There is no charge to come and stuff yourself with festive food.
An army of volunteers is needed and welcomed before, during and after to help with this event. Volunteers are needed for:
- Picking up donated food from restaurants and eateries in the area
- Setting up for the dinner
- Serving food
- Clean-up
- Packing up food to go and sending home leftovers (last half hour of dinner)
- Delivering food to people who are homebound or have no transportation to get to the dinner
