Assist in the preparation, serving and/or clearing of food. Help with pantry organization, inventory of food donations and greeting new guests in our dining room.
Cooking with kids
The Queens Galley is seeking new volunteers for Operation Frontline, a program of Share Our Strength to teach cooking/nutrition classes to children in the Highland/New Paltz/Kingston areas.
Office Assistant
Help in the Soup kitchen office Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few hours answering phones, filing, light communications via email or letter.
The Queens Galley offers hands on culinary workshops free of charge to low and middle income families and seniors on fixed incomes to teach cooking techniques that allow for the highest nutritional impact for every food dollar spent. rather than be a food pantry or food bank the volunteers at The Queens Galley show people how to make the best of the resources that are available to them. The Queens Galley also offers a scholarship to students who show exemplary community service.
The Queens Galley is now taking reservations for Spring Operation Side-by-Side classes in Kingston. Side-by-Side offers an opportunity for children WITH a parent or guardian to take a cooking and nutrition class together! Classes are free to participants, space is limited. Email info@thequeensgalley.org for a full schedule. Operation Frontline is a program of Share Our Strength brought to the Hudson Valley by the Queens Galley.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to accept food donations.
